The CESifo Webinars on Labor Economics were launched after the very first Area Conference of the Labor Economics Area of the CESifo Research Network was canceled due to COVID-19. In order to build and connect a network of researchers in labor economics on both sides of the Atlantic, the webinars will run on a monthly basis with different speakers for each event.

The second webinar in the series will feature Ran Abramitzky (Stanford University) and Sule Alan (European University Institute). Each speaker will give a 45 minute presentation and participants will then have the opportunity to pose questions.

The title of Ran Abramitzky's talk is Streets of Gold: Immigration and the American Dream over Two Centuries.
Sule Alan will talk on the topic of Social Exclusion and Ethnic Segregation in Schools: The Role of Teacher's Ethnic Prejudice.

The webinar will begin at 6pm German time on Thursday 12th November. Registration is mandatory. Please register here.
